I recently completed my residency and attempted to qualify for a physician loan in one of the states serviced by Suntrust. I had a previous loan with them on my home purchased during residency. They did not have a 100% doctor loan this past summer when I was in the market to buy a new home.
No down physician loans are no more (except from SunTrust).
Bank of America killed their program in June of '09
Apparently if you live outside of the states where SunTrust operates, all you need to do is have a checking account with them for 1 year to be eligible for this. Obviously, do all the due diligence before jumping into this stuff.
