Anybody know which programs REQUIRE 4 letters to be submitted? Just wondering so all of us submitting apps make sure we do the right thing and get all 4 letters to those programs.

I wasn't aware any programs require 4 letters, just that some allow you to submit up to 4. I would love a list of which places allow 4 and which ONLY allow 3 if anyone has that... =)
ucsf requires 4
is this the only one?
What if I have 2 uro letters, a great gen surg letter...and I'm going to ask for a 3rd uro letter on this rotation, should I hold out for it, or finish my app with a fourth letter from another surgical specialty?
UCSF is the only one that I'm aware of. I'm just wondering if there are others.
ALL letters should be from Urology faculty and ONLY Urology faculty - general surgery letters are worthless and will not be looked at seriously! i would strongly advise you not to submit letters outside of urology.
That's wrong. Many successful applicants have letters from their gen surgery rotation, non-urology research, etc. . . 2 solid uro letters and a great gen surg letter sounds great.
I know that many people have to submit their application without all of the letters in, but then when you do get that last letter in you have to contact the programs to make sure they know it's there. I would hold out for the last urology letter rather than submit a non-urology letter.
