are rank lists made public after the match?

I don't exactly mean "public" as in open to anyone, but I was wondering if program directors can see applicants' rank lists after the match is over.  I've been told this is true for the NRMP match....is it true for the AUA match as well??

No

No PDs cannot see your rank list or know where they were on your list when the match is over. Obviously if you tell a program they are #1 and they rank you #1 and don't get you, then they will know you lied which I guess indirectly means they might have idea. This could then be passed along to where you match at.But, the match is completely confidential. Call the AUA if you have any concerns.

good question

how do we verify if they see our rank lists or not?  ask a program director?

Rank List

No need to verify with anyone. Have been involved with the past 6 matches. We NEVER see your rank lists. We get a master list of who matches to where, and that's it.As the applicant, you should have the full confidence that what you put on your rank list stays private.

same goes for NRMP

Apparently the same is true for the NRMP: http://www.nrmp.org/res_match/special_part/inst_officials/match_results.... After the NRMP match:"Displayed next to each applicant's name is the applicant's match status: the program to which the applicant matched, "unmatched," "withdrew" or "no ROL." The report helps program directors evaluate their programs. The policy of confidentiality, however, restricts the NRMP from releasing specific information about the ranking of programs by individual applicants."
