Received an email simply confirming receipt of my app, stating interview dates are:Nov 3, Nov 18 And that they plan to notify about interviews by the week of Oct 4. Below is the criteria we use when evaluating applicants.1 - Applicants must be a graduate of a medical school in the United States orCanada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), or agraduate of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accreditedby the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).2 - Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada musthave a current certificate with the Educational Commission for Foreign MedicalGraduates (ECFMG). Applicants must also have graduated from medical schoolwithin the last five (5) years.3 - We strive to have a diverse resident complement and consider allapplicants regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability,sexual orientation, veteran or marital status.4 - All applicants must apply through ERAS. Foreign medical graduates canaccess ERAS through the ECFMG office.5 - All applicants must be registered with the AUA.6 - USMLE baseline scores for Step 1 and Step 2 (CK and CS) - 220. Applicantsmust also pass Step 2 Clinical Skills.7 - Additional screening methods used to select applicants for an intervieware the Applicant's educational preparation for graduate medical education andacademic credentials in medical school (membership in Alpha Omega Alpha,medical school transcripts, scientific publications/presentations,extracurricular activities, etc).8 - Applicants must submit three (3) letters of recommendation. Two of theletters must be from the Urology department of their medical school- oneletter must be from the Chair.A - We do not require previous US clinical experience.B - Mayo Graduate School of Medicine supports the J-1 visa. Due to severaloff-campus rotations for the Scottsdale program and the requirement to licenseresidents in the program, Mayo provides limited support of the H-1B visa.C - Deadline date for applications to be received is October 1 of currentyear.We currently have 2 categorical positions available per year in the residency.We look forward to reviewing your applications and will be happy to answer anyquestions you may have about our program.
