Programs on Shaky Ground

Trying to research programs on my interview list has been pretty frustrating.  There is little objective info about programs out there.  Program websites will not mention any problem areas and present only the highlights.  On the interviews I've been on, I have heard residents and faculty mentioning problem areas at other regional programs.  Now that interview season has started let's get that information out there for the UM community. Please use this thread to discuss possible negative aspects of specific programs including:- Recently resigned chairmen or important faculty- Loss of accreditation, probation, etc.- Loss of hospital affiliations- Residents not passing exams- Anything else you have heardRumor mill start churning.

Interviewed there this past weekend, and they told us the chair is retiring.  They will be going externally to replace him.  Overall, they didn't seem too concerned that it would be difficult to find a strong replacement.

Louisville...

Chair/PD, Dr. Casale, at Louisville is resigning.  Anyone know anything about the program there and what's to become of it?  I like the idea of living/training there, but don't know much about them.
