Why the attitude? I think it would be nice to see the strengths of each program again before we make our final decision

i dont think so...there isnt a "bad" program out there, otherwise it wouldnt be accredited, so I think having access to case logs is pointless, and dosent add any decision making info to my rank list.
Some of the programs supplied the ACGME case logs for their chief residents. I know for sure MGH gave out copies.

I was just giving my opinion, and what I was trying to say (I was typing on my phone by the way so it was probably more brief than was necessary), was that comparing the number of prostatectomies or what have you between programs was not going to add a lot of significance to my order of the rank list. I say this for two reasons, first as a 4th year medical student, I dont' feel I have the experience to really be able to properly weigh those nuances (especially given that is the role of an accrediting body), and second I learned on an interview several weeks ago, those numbers can be inflated among programs not wanting a site visit for being in the lower 10%.I will however, be basing my rank list on what I think is important, the feel of the program to me, the residents who I will be working with, the stability among faculty, opportunities available, and city/region I'll be living in ect..Sorry again for sounding rude, not my intention at all. I was just suprised with as much information as I already have on a set of programs to really even need to consider the case log data, IMHO. Good luck to everyone.
