Just wondering how many have already submitted rank lists? I would imagine that some have already, but I am willing to bet most have not. I, for instance, have not. Still working on it, and depending on my mood, I log on and change it up a little bit. My top 5 programs are essentially locked in, but the order is what I'm still struggling with. Pretty set on the bottom 3 programs, unlikely those will change at all. but I'm curious why i can't get the guts to finally submit the damn thing. will i wait up until the 5th to submit in case i get any inside info on programs. I doubt i will get any intel, but probably won't submit until near that date. but i wish to submit and get this over with. anyone else having similar thoughts and willing to share their experience?
top 2 locked in, #3, #4 I keep switching, middle of the pack pretty locked in but fiddling here and there. Bottom 3 locked in. being around family over the holidays has made me want to move things to suit them/facilitate travel home. Hearing things on the forum messes with my head and I start to prioritize things like "reputation." It has been nice to get some distance from the trail and let things "settle." I think the list I have now reflects what I want, rather than what all the gossip on the trail was starting to make me think I wanted. I am happy with it and will turn it in on the 3rd or so to avoid murphy's law.
I would have to agree that being around plenty of family this holiday season has got me thinking that way too. It seems to be a constant battle between reputation/ego fulfillment vs. "what just feels right". who will win?
I submitted mine today. Made a reversa of my #1 and #2, based on family/travel considerations. Other than that, my list remained the same as it's been for months. Felt great about submitting it today. Now the true waiting game begins :)
Whew...glad I'm not the only one that was biting their nails and waiting...But I'm going to submit mine tonight when my wife gets back and then we're going out to celebrate the end of interview season and welcome the waiting game :). Good luck to all.
