sorry, but this thread seems like a bad idea to begin with. anonymous or not, our lists are a pretty personal thing and to put it out there for everyone to see is asking for trouble. to say that any post on this forum is "just to look at, not to comment on" is not practical. and for my part, i don't want anyone commenting on my list. because if someone picks my list apart (even in the name good-natured discussion), it can only make me feel bad and second guess my decisions. sorry but it just doesn't seem worth it to me. there is no right or wrong in this game, so it's useless to compare lists because people have totally opposite criteria.
Top 5 academic programs:Vandy, UCSF, Mayo, JHU, CCF(current resident, non top 5 program, from impression after interviews/comments from faculty etc)Honorable mentions: USC, UTSW, Emory, MGH, Columbia, UWThis is strictly from an academic perspective. Obviously the operative experience varies immensely between programs. It is important to remember if you are set on an academic career and don't match at one of these places, that fellowships in urology are not that tough to get into compared to initially matching in the first place.
