How does it feel

The match has already been run. How does it feel to know your fate has already been determined and you cannot even know about it until Moday. For me, I am finding it very difficult to concentrate in this rotation. Any other person feeling the same way?

Do the emails come DIRECTLY to us from the AUA, or go first to our Deans and then we have to wait on our Deans to let us know?
Read the AUA website.  It explains everything in painful detail.  Part of being a good resident is a little self-reliance...Then again, I guess part of it is asking questions for things you don't know the answer to. "Results Distribution When the match is complete, summary reports are prepared for the Match Review Committee prior to general distribution. The results of the match will be disseminated as follows:

Is there any chance they would be kind enough to give us a weekend to celebrate (or heaven forbid, plan) by letting us know early? Afterall, what is so special about Monday morning? One can only hope right?

yeah, why monday?

You know these people over at the AUA can't be spending the whole weekend in the office working and doing overtime, so why not release the results on a Friday instead of a Monday morning?  Are they really doing anything with the results between 5pm Friday and 9am Monday?  Ugh, why not give people a chance to celebrate?

It's because the

It's because the supercomputer mother brain requires exactly 18.89 days to run the program to match the 300-400 applicants (or whatever). Then you have to wait until 9am because the random dude has to drink his coffee, eat his McMuffin before he comes to work and push his button labelled: "release results to programs/applicants".
