2013-2014 Urology Match Results (Master List Google Doc)

Hi all.  I made a Google Doc with every program and position available at the link below.  I took last years list and deleted the programs that did not enter the match this year, added programs that were not in the match last year, and tried to up update programs that either added or dropped positions.  I am sure there are still errors in the programs that I don't know anything about, so please feel free to edit where apprpriate so that it is updated for the big day in a few weeks.  I wish all of you the best of luck and that we all get to a program that offers to us exactly what we're looking for.  I truly enjoyed getting to know many of you and am excited to call you colleagues soon enough =)  Cheers to a great next 5 (or 6, or 7, or 8...) years! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtYAZrieqOMidGN4S2lyYWNuQUV...

290 spots?

Are there really 290 spots available?

Thanks for compiling that

Thanks for compiling that list. Looking forward to hopefully having everyone I met on the trail as colleagues.I pulled that into the doc I was building to compile data similar to last year's. I'm just building on top of last year's google doc to hopefully allow us to have some long-term data across the years.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArqIac8tLgmGdEljVzN5aXAxdzJ...Please feel free to edit and/or make suggestions. Good luck!

I took last year's list, and then edited in/out all the updates that I knew about.  I left the google doc open so others could edit it, so if you know of anything that is errant on the list, please feel free to update it so that it reflects the most up-to-date informatino.  290 spots looked odd to me, too, but I know that UWash added another spot, Emory added another spot, and Baylor is in this year's match but wasn't last year....so that's 6 additional spots right there compared to 2012-2013.

Thanks

Thanks for doing this, oh organized one!!

Post your results! (tomorrow)

Hey guys.  Remember to post your results tomorrow as they come out.  I am very excited to see where everyone ends up and am pumped to see who my co-residents are going to be!  Good luck to all. Also, I want to add a separate page to the google.doc tonight so people can anonymously add their Step 1 and Step 2 scores (and if released).  I want to do this to get an idea of the average step 1/2 scores for Urology. Prior to applications, it was incredibly annoying that there was no definitive data released by the AUA on this matter, so I thought we could just put our stats down anonymously for next years class (and for our own curiosity).  If we go thru with this, I'd encourage everyone to put theirs regardless of the number so the sample is as complete as possible. Reply if you all would be interested in doing this and I'll add a page to the google doc.

Not to take anything away from you

But I'd suggest just using Gotta Cath em All's google spreadsheet, its a copy from the one done last year and its already set up to have step 1 and 2 scores put in as well as a ton of other info to submit. Let's just get this thing over with!!!

Oh right, forgot about that.  Yeah, do that instead. To: Gotta Catch em All: try to move all teh Step 1 and Step 2 data to a second sheet.  The way it is set up right now, the step 1 and 2 scores are in teh same row as matched applicants.  It would be nice if the step 1 and 2 scores were not associated with any names (i.e. not in te same row as a matched applicant).  Maybe move all that data to a new sheet?

I was thinking about keeping

I was thinking about keeping the data entry like last year - list your information but not next to your name. This should keep everything anonymous. Also, please don't sort the data columns independently of each other. Want to get a sense of what kind of applicant characteristics correlated with #interviews, number matched into on the rank list, etc. Thanks everyone and good luck!!! Also, thanks again to anonymoushuman for compiling the programs list. Here is the link again to the Master Urology Match List - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArqIac8tLgmGdEljVzN5aXAxdzJ...
