Urology Times is an application highlighting the popular urologist newspaper Urology Times. As stated on the website it “provides news analysis of key advances in surgical and non-surgical techniques, treatments, and practice management. It has been the #1 read publication for >20 years, reaching the full universe of physician-specialists treating urologic disorders.” The point of this review is not to review the newspaper or its contents, but the application itself.
Sexiness of Interface/Ease of Use:
This app has an excellent user interface and I found it very easy to use. On the iPad, reading the newspaper was intuitive and extremely easy. Zooming and turning pages was seamless. You can also scroll through the issue quicker with the scrollbar at the bottom of each page. Obviously this app is easier to use with the iPad, but reading the newspaper on the iPhone can be done, although difficult only due to the size of the screen. That being said, it is still easy to zoom in on content, even on the iPhone.

Audience:
This app is most useful for urologists; however it could be used by residents as well, I just don’t believe they would find the majority of these articles useful, depending on their level of training. This is not useful for patients.
The Skinny:
This is a very solid urology app and provides the Urology Times newspaper, a popular newspaper amongst urologists in an extremely easy to use application that can be found both on the iPhone and iPad. More naturally useful on the iPad, it can also be used on the iPhone to read through an article or two. I think the average urologist would find this app very useful and enjoyable to use and I highly recommend it.
